This is a fan website devoted to the new Broadway production of Wicked, a new musical by Stephen Schwartz and Winnie Holzman based on the book by Gregory Maguire. The story centers around the lives of the two witches of Oz before and shortly after Dorothy drops in and realizes that she's "not in Kansas anymore." The new musical had its tryout production in San Francisco, which opened to mixed reviews. Now, after some revisions during late summer and early fall, the show is playing on Broadway, having begun previews on October 8th at the Gershwin Theatre and opened on October 30, 2003.
